Contentio Music is an online independent record label and store with a controversial theme providing top quality music from various genres and talented independent recording artists. The label launched in January 2011 with its debut "EP" release entitled "The streets are watching", starring top hip hop artists and clothes designers "Defury" and "G-range". Contentio Music represents a new way of thinking and viewing the world and life as we know it from different perspectives.
The label was founded by Daniel David aka D-vibe. A record producer, musician and sound and audio engineer. Who was frustrated and saddened with how many top real artists and musicians who get left behind due to the control of the mainstream record companies. Artists who do get a deal with a major record label are censored and some are limited to explore their full potential and forced to conform to the labels own requirements (not the listeners). This label however is a strong believer in "Freedom of speech" and "Free expression" creating a vehicle for an artist to be truly free to express what they feel, real, raw emotions.
Ever since the internet, more and more portals, platforms and digital indie labels have been created so that those left behind can still be heard and their music appreciated. Contentio Music is a contributor to just that.
