Add Adz's current role at Contentio Music also includes recruitment of staff seeking music industry work experience and internships. Biography Adeoye Adeyemi, known by his nickname "Add Adz" or "Addy Love", was raised in Shoreditch, East London, UK. He attended Burbage Primary School in Hoxton Street and was educated at Central Foundation Boys’ School in Old Street, where TV presenter Reggie Yates and ‘Pop Idol’ and ‘Hear Say’ star Danny Foster were just some of his peers. DJ Trevor Nelson, Spandau Ballet star Martin Kemp and current Eastenders actor Charlie G. Hawkins (who plays Darren Miller) also attended Central Foundation Boys’ School. Add Adz describes his time at Central Foundation Boys School as one that began to shape his personaility. ‘’Most people hated their time at school, but I enjoyed my time. My school was located in between the boroughs of Hackney and Islington and a stones throw away from the City of London. This meant I was around people from all different backgrounds. It made me appreciate all kinds of people and It was a highly creative environment. Many students attended Anna Scher Theatre School and local music schools.’’
After studying Media Studies at City and Islington College, Adz decided to follow his passion for music and got a job at Opaz Music Studio, Mare Street. The studio which was owned by Soul Music producer Ray Hayden, was a place where Add Adz could further explore his creative side. The studio was run by Wiggy who was in a band called Riff-Raff with alternative rock and left-wing activist Billy Bragg. ‘’I originally joined Opaz by doing a short course in MIDI and Sound Recording. At the end of the course, Wiggy asked me if I wanted to do some further work experience at the studio. He was one of the first people to believe in me and helped open up the door into the music industry.’’ After he left the studio, Adz went on to do various jobs, but his calling was always in the entertainment industry, and in 2010 he created his own venture called ‘X Guestlist’. Born out of necessity and then opportunity, ‘X Guestlist’ is still in its infancy, but Adz has many things planned for its development in 2012. While at Opaz studios, Adz also met in-house Record Producer D-Vibe and Rappers Defury and G-Range. They have remained close friends ever since, and when D-Vibe created ‘Contentio Music Records’ he invited Add Adz to come on-board and they now embark on there latest journey...........
